You guys – I have too many CDs sitting in my house, but there are so many people who still use CDs because they don’t do the digital world. (i.e. your great-grandmother, or the lovely people at your local lodges). So, I want to give some of these away because I feel that they could benefit someone better than they can in a box in my closet collecting dust. Help me find 50 homes for 100 of these CDs!
Last year I composed a song called “Light The World” in support of the LDS’s church’s service campaign called #LIGHTtheWORLD. I FINALLY got to scoring the sheet music and am so excited to release it! A new recording is coming and – you guys – it is so awesome!! It was one of my more emotional experiences in the studio….and that’s a good thing. The sound engineer did an amazing job and I can wait to share it with you this Christmas! Watch for it and be sure to subscribe to my mailing list at www.saralynbaril.com to keep up with my music releases!
Through the month of December, I plan to #LIGHTtheWORLD in a few different ways, but one simple way is to give some of my music to you! For December 1-25, I will be giving away a song each day from these two albums in hopes of making your day a little brighter and reminding us of our Savior’s great love for each of us.
We know it takes a village to raise a child. Let’s strengthen the walls around that village. Let’s make family first again. Home is where our story begins. Where would we be without family? Family comes in many forms, but regardless, family is everything and is definitely worth fighting for.
As mothers, we are often the facilitators of the tone we want to set in our homes. What a better way to influence a loving spirit in your home than though Christ-centered music? I might be a little biased, but Thy Healing Hands and Come to Know Him are nice CDs – and on sale for Mother’s Day!
Nothing says Christmas like Christmas music! Some of my fondest memories are driving home with my family after watching the live nativity at the Church, or after driving around looking at lights while listening to Christmas music. Pretty soon we were all singing along and feeling the spirit of Christmas with Bing Crosby and The Carpenters! (well, mostly dad was singing, but you know how family togetherness goes…)
We get nearer to the Lord through music than perhaps through any other thing except prayer.” – President J. Reuben Clark Jr.
There’s nothing I love more than my Savior, Jesus Christ. I love to write music about Him and about His gospel to share with others. Music plays an important role at Christmas time as we are celebrate His birth, His life and His ministry. I hope that my songs about Him can add to your worship of Him this season.
I’m so excited to release a new piece of music for the youth! It incorporates 2 Nephi 31:20, the new LDS youth theme for 2016.
